Conditions We Treat

Whole Health Clinic is a full service naturopathic health clinic. We treat acute and chronic conditions of all types, including digestive disorders, skin conditions, rheumatological diseases, hormonal imbalances, neurological disorders, and psychological/psychiatric problems.  Dr. Sharif considers it a blessing and his life mission to help patients who have difficult-to-treat conditions, patients who often have been suffering from numerous health challenges without experiencing any or much relief from conventional pharmaceutical medications or even natural supplements/therapies.   He helps guide patients through his “7 Steps to Healing” program.  (Refer to the “7 Steps to Healing” article under the Educational Articles page on this site for more information.)

Regarding cancer, we do not “treat” cancer- we treat the person who has cancer. In other words, we provide supportive care to our cancer patients to enhance their overall state of health. Dr. Sharif’s philosophy regarding cancer is that removing or shrinking the tumor is only one aspect of taking care of cancer patients, and another aspect would be to address the “cancer process”. The “cancer process” is what made the cancerous tumor come into being in the first place. Conventional medicine attempts to take care of the tumor, and natural medicine works with conventional medicine to try to address the “cancer process”. Our primary tools for addressing the “cancer process” include : Diet and lifestyle-related suggestions/recommendations, Drainage (refer to the “services” section for more information) and constitutional homeopathy.

We specialize in optimizing health, not treating disease. By optimizing health, we are able to help individuals with specific and sometimes not so specific (vague, and complex) conditions. We serve individuals with various conditions, but we love to provide care to those individuals who have normal (or mostly normal) blood tests and diagnostic imaging test results, but yet continue to suffer from various symptoms. Most often, the way to cure (or, at least, alleviation of symptoms) for such individuals is by optimizing their health, and the vague or unexplainable symptoms simply disappear.

III) Miscellaneous conditions without a specific name or diagnosis:
Any odd or unusual condition that cannot be diagnosed or does not respond to pharmaceutical drugs and/or commonly prescribed herbs/supplements. Most of these individuals might have a normal blood test and/or a normal diagnostic imaging such as CT scan or MRI. Nevertheless, they continue to suffer from symptoms.

Examples:
1)Vague neurological symptoms such as inability to hold onto objects (and suddenly dropping them) without an apparent neurological disease

2)Inability to tolerate drugs or even supplements (herbs, etc.) as that found in individuals with MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity)

3)Severe skin itching without an apparent medical reason

4)Inability to eat many foods, but having normal blood and diagnostic test results.
